Restaurant Food Runner

Position Summary

Monserate Winery is a new family winery that has a vision of delivering excellence and fun, with a focus on integrity and community. We are looking for an amazing team to grow with. A successful candidate is an approachable, educator that has an incredible work ethic, is detail-oriented and enjoys a fast-paced work environment. The Food Runner is a dedicated, team-player who is also responsible for ensuring the highest service standards and achieving revenue and membership goals, as well an excellent guest experience.

Qualifications

Food Runner

  • Passion for the wine and hospitality industry.
  • Must be 18 years of age for this position.
  • Greet each guest in a friendly and polite manner.
  • Responsible for keeping a neat and tidy workspace, that is organized and looks presentable for the guests point of view at all times.
  • Responsible for keeping station well stocked with necessary items.
  • Responsible for preparing tray of necessary table items, for each ticket, knowledge of the menu and which utensils and service ware goes with each menu item.
  • Assist guests with glassware/chillers for bottles of wine purchased.
  • Responsible for delivering prepared trays of service ware.
  • Responsible for accurately delivering ordered menu items, and checking for any modifications on tickets.
  • Enforces and implements ABC laws regarding monitoring drinking of minors under 21 years of age, when in doubt check ID’s.

  3. Be knowledgeable of A.B.C. laws and guest compliance.
  4. Setting up and taking down of bar.
  5. Case carry-outs.
  6. Assist servers and cashiers.
  7. Bus tables.
  8. Supports the functionality of a clean and organized tasting room and outdoor dining area.
  9. Build rapport with guests in order to ensure guest retention
  10. Selling of wine club memberships, wine products, featured wines, and merchandise

Winery Host/Hostess

  • Inform guests that we are a family friend establishment, our posted signs promote a safe experience.
  • Inform guests of any specials or events happening each day.
  • Check Members in and Verify Account Details.
  • Answer the phone in a warm and friendly manner.

Kitchen Staff

Job description

We are looking for hardworking, dependable kitchen staff to service our growing outdoor food service. Kitchen staff will be preparing items like pizzas, sandwiches and salads while managing a clean and organized work area. This is a great opportunity for local Fallbrook residents who want to grow and develop with our new winery.

Housekeeper

Job Description:

Monserate Winery is a new family winery that has a vision of delivering excellence and fun, with a focus on integrity and community.  We are looking for an amazing team to grow with.  A successful candidate is an approachable, person that has an incredible work ethic, is detail-oriented and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.  The housekeeper is a dedicated, team-player who is also responsible for ensuring the public areas of the winery are clean, safe and organized.

Qualifications

  1. Be 18 years of age
  2. Weekday and weekend availability
  3. Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the area.
  4. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  5. Must have excellent guest service skills with professional appearance and outstanding communication skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all areas are guest ready prior to opening and maintained during operation hours

  • Dust and polish various surfaces and furniture.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Empty trash bins.
  • Change linens and towels; replace toiletries.
  • Restock cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Report any issues that require maintenance to management.
  • Anticipate guests needs and respond promptly while maintaining positive guest relations.
  • Track and report all supply needs
  • Additional tasks may be required.

Tasting Room Barback/Busser

Position Summary

Monserate Winery is a new family winery that has a vision of delivering excellence and fun, with a focus on integrity and community.  We are looking for an amazing team to grow with.  A successful candidate has an incredible work ethic, is detail-oriented and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.  A barback/busser is a dedicated, team-player who is also responsible for ensuring the highest service standards while supporting the function of the Tasting Room and dining area.

Qualifications

  1. Be 21+ years of age
  2. Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the area.
  3. Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  4. Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
  5. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  6. Must have excellent guest service skills with professional appearance and outstanding communication skills.
  7. High School Diploma or equivalent.
