Tasting Room Barback/Busser

POSITION SUMMARY

Monserate Winery is a new family winery that has a vision of delivering excellence and fun, with a focus on integrity and community.  We are looking for an amazing team to grow with.  A successful candidate has an incredible work ethic, is detail-oriented and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.  A barback/busser is a dedicated, team-player who is also responsible for ensuring the highest service standards while supporting the function of the Tasting Room and dining area.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Be 18 years of age
  2. Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the area.
  3. Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  4. Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
  5. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  6. Must have excellent guest service skills with professional appearance and outstanding communication skills.
  7. High School Diploma or equivalent.

  3. Be knowledgeable of A.B.C. laws and guest compliance.
  4. Setting up and taking down of bar.
  5. Case carry-outs.
  6. Stocking.
  7. Assist servers and cashiers.
  8. Bus tables
  9. Supports the functionality of a clean and organized tasting room and outdoor dining area.
  10. Build rapport with guests in order to ensure guest retention
  11. Selling of wine club memberships, wine products, featured wines, and merchandise

Tasting Room Server

Job Description:

Monserate Winery is a new family winery that has a vision of delivering excellence and fun, with a focus on integrity and community.  We are looking for an amazing team to grow with.  A successful candidate is an approachable, educator that has an incredible work ethic, is detail-oriented and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.  The Wine server is a dedicated, team-player who is also responsible for ensuring the highest service standards and achieving revenue and membership goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Be 21 years of age
  2. Weekday and weekend availability
  3. Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the area.
  4. Have knowledge of wines.
  5. Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
  6. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  7. Must have excellent guest service skills with professional appearance and outstanding communication skills.
  8. Must have ability to develop customer relationships and be sales oriented.

Cook

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Monserate Winery is a new family winery that has a vision of delivering excellence and fun with a focus on integrity and community.  We are looking for an amazing team to grow with.  The Cook is someone with previous commercial cooking experience.  Someone who is a true team player in the kitchen but is also capable of working alone. Maintains established quality standards and can assist other employees. Is flexible and willing to perform any task to better the event service. Keeps calm under pressure and maintains positive attitude towards change.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest quality standards and is served on time.
  • Executing the menu and the plating presentation for each dish.
  • Stocktaking ingredients and equipment, and placing orders as needed.
  • Practices best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
  • Be in uniform when clocking in
  • Maintains a clean sanitary work area
  • Executes prep list during shift
  • Reports any equipment malfunctions or failures
  • Takes breaks a 30-minute unpaid break and two 10 minute paid breaks
  • Strictly adhere to recipe specifications ensuring proper portion sizes and cooking methods are followed
  • Maintains positive and professional atmosphere throughout the premises
  • Adhere to established safety standards and assists in preventing accidents by being aware of hazardous situations
  • Label and date all product before placing in walk-ins. Always follow FIFO principals
  • Capable of packing for events to ensure product arrives safely
  • Practices proper recycling procedures and kitchen energy management
  • Responsible for proper closing and cleaning procedures
  • Treats everyone with respect
  • Performs other duties as directed, developed or assigned

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Previous food experience, preferably in prep, line cooking, and/or food truck cooking. Knowledge of menus and food perpetrating techniques. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.

Computer Skills

Language Skills

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or scheduled form.

  • Empty trash bins.
  • Change linens and towels; replace toiletries.
  • Restock cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Report any issues that require maintenance to management.
  • Anticipate guests needs and respond promptly while maintaining positive guest relations.
  • Track and report all supply needs
  • Additional tasks may be required.
